Blathering from a Reich Winger re: the Pledge "Protection" Act, aka the "Holy shit, a challenge to having God endorsed as the head of this country through the Pledge almost passed the Supreme Court, so let's ham-string them quick!" Act.

In fact, the atheist Bellamy did not include the words “under God” in his original version of the pledge.

Umm. What? I'm sorry, did he really just use the word "fact" in the same sentence as trying to pass Francis Bellamy off as an atheist?? Bellamy was a Baptist minister!! Maybe some of that money those nut-jobs are pouring into the BushCo campaign war-chest would be better spent on hiring a fact-checker. Or, maybe the facts were just too inconvenient in this case. Nothing like agenda and ideology trumping reality.
