Fear Mongers and Liars
Repugs Admit Mailing Campaign Literature
A liberal religious group, the Interfaith Alliance, circulated a copy of the Arkansas mailing to reporters yesterday to publicize it. "What they are doing is despicable,'' said Don Parker, a spokesman for the alliance. "They are playing on people's fears and emotions."
Well, duh! That's what the Republican Party does! It plays on people's fears and emotions. "You're not safe! The terrorists will get you unless you vote for us! (Except that then they turn around and pat themselves on the back for what a great job they're doing in the war on terra). We need to ban gay marriage or the Democrats will force you all to be gay! (Then they call themselves "compasionate" conservatives. Oddly enough, these blatant contradictions seem to go completely unnoticed by the great unwashed masses). The liberal terrorists will take away your Bibles and your guns! They'll outlaw your CXT and make you all drive Mini Coopers! They'll force your wives to have abortions and become witches! They'll rape your daughters! And YOUR SONS!!!"
The Republican party certainly can't rely on the record of it's leaders. And falling back on facts or logic or reason would never work for the party of criminals and hucksters.
